Taylor Meade

is an infamous poet, performer, filmmaker,
and former star of the Warhol scene. More recently,
Mead appeared in Jim Jarmusch's Coffee and Cigarettes
(2003). This year Mead will participate in the 2006
Whitney Biennial in conjunction with the screening of
the new biographical film Excavating Taylor Mead
(2005).

The dances and ritual arose as an attempt to preserve sacred and social art forms, customs and beliefs, in response to surviving the oppressive and arduous conditions of slavery.

The gods and goddesses (or L'wa) that are part of Haitian Vodou spirit possession and myth, influenced and created dance movements. Theatrical in nature, Haitian dance can be feminine, masculine, proud, mischievous, sensual, and aggressive. It has been said that Haitian dance is full of opposites; it can be subtle and dynamic, as well as graceful and rugged.

Every movement in the dances is intimately linked to the drums' rhythms, and the true experience of the dance occurs when you allow your body to relax into the song of the drum and let it carry you.

The two major forms of manufactured homes are single-wides and double-wides. "Single-wides" are sixteen feet or less in width and can be towed to their site as a single unit, whereas "double-wides" are twenty-four feet or more wide and are towed to their site in two separate units, which are then joined together. Triple-wides, although rarer, are also manufactured.
