Like a painted picture

We sent this FLOWER CAKE to Grandma Jones for her birthday, this was her response, we received the letter yesterday:
Dear Jason and Jen,
...Never have I seen such a flower cake- it is really beautiful- first one I've ever seen.
The lady, who came with it, I scared her I know. (scared is underlined) I just started crying, she kept asking if I was ok, wouldn't leave, til I told her, I was ok, just so suprised. Ha. Thank you both so much. It's like a painted picture- all white October Roses, pink carnations, 1 beautiful Red rose on top- even candles- a dark rose ribbon around it, just wonderful. Hope it lasts a long time- had to call 2 of my neighbors and they came to see it. they couldn't beleive, how pretty it was.

substance containing rennin, an enzyme having the property of clotting, or curdling, milk. It is used in the making of cheese and junket. Rennet is obtained from the stomachs of young mammals living on milk, especially from the inner lining of the fourth, or true, stomach (abomasum) of milk-fed calves. The preparation of rennet was formerly a part of the domestic function of making cheese; the inner membrane was kept in salt, dried, and, when rennet was needed, soaked in water. 1859 debut trapeze performance, on a rig with three trapezes, lasted 12 minutes and featured the first midair trapeze somersault. Léotard, whose father, Jean, was a gymnastics instructor, invented not only the trapeze apparatus and technique, but also the garment typically worn while performing on it: the eponymous leotard. Although it is sensible enough not to wear loose or restrictive clothing while performing acrobatics high above the ground, Léotard was apparently just as interested in showing off his muscular physique. Léotard himself called the garment a maillot, the word that would later come to mean “swimsuit” in French. In retrospect, this was an apt term: although there was no safety net during the performance, Léotard had developed his act while practicing on trapezes suspended over a swimming pool.

Léotard was the inspiration for the song “The Flying Trapeze,” written by George Leybourne in 1868. Although I’ve seen at least half a dozen different versions of the lyrics, the chorus goes approximately like this:

Textiles, Girls, Wine in Wax cups, Rice, Trees, Uno

Last nite i had to cut outta work early to meet up with zach and his friend erica. Myself, Jen, Kyle, and Zach sat in the back of a shop that sold textile designs and products that utilize said designs; pillows, blankets, lamps, curtains, etc. They were opening the basement section of their store. Erica works with them to setup their interior design. I never went in the basement but zach said it smelled like a humidor. Zach is into erica, so we gave him some back up and really pushed his credibility as a solid man. She got really excited when talking about her work and spilled some wine on her foot. It was cute, cause she tried to keep going on like it didn't really happen. It was a very quick spill and her stern demeanor through the splash made me question my level of tippiness. after a few seconds i couldn't keep my laugh in and everyone had a quick chuckle, before moving on in the convo.

two hours down the nite, cut to a botched game of uno on zach and kyles floor. no one could get the rules right and zach kept watching seth green in can't hardly wait. i threw a little hissy and margaret called the game quits.

Jen just bought trapeze class tickets for herself and her sister.

just yesterday i say to jason... I want some canisters for the counter, like for sugar and such.
today, ave a flea market...i spot them once, but the woman is on the phone. And I want to see if I want to spend my $19 dollars elsewhere and walk away.
I end up coming back...
She speaking to a man, but I bust in anyway..."how much"
she, "oh that's my husband, he brought me some refreshments, i called him so I wouldn't die out here!" as she gulped a juice down.
20 bucks for the canisters, and they even nest within one another...but why would I want that? I need to put things in them!
And she's been wanting to sell them to a cute girl she tells me...good sales line.
So I only have 19, she'll take it.
We speak a little. Her husband tells me he's been to trenton often, well to the courts. Where the wife chimes in, "yeah he has a crazy father-in-law." I smile, say "thank you, stay cool and have a nice day." As I walk away, the husband yells out, "You're welcome, you're adorable!"

about to play a game of rummy upstairs on the bed, where the a/c is blowin.
the buzzer buzzes. it's zach to return our dvd; Ken Burns' New York, Part 3, Order and Disorder.
he stretches on our stairs, sips some homemade icetea, grandmom's recipe, and I pull out the frozen, blueberries, grapes and raspberries...oo tart.
a night of beatles records, a game of caps, and a dish of fried bananas, green apples, pears, pecans and almonds, over a cinnamon rice cake topped with butter pecan icecream, cinnamon, whipped cream and chocolate chips---oh drizzed with maple syrup.
Zach leaves stoned and full and with the trash...
only to return with Annie Hall.

Now i am really naked

my neighbor across the way, also on the fifth floor, and myself, have indulged in some cross clinton nued rendezvouses. I've only seen her naked once, but think that she might be hiding a camera to constantly shoot in our window. Jennie doesn't get jealous though cause she's not that attractive. It doesn't really matter either way, cause we both know how obsessive we are. my legs are sticking together. Our a/c doesn't trickle down into the bottom floor. so we have windows open downstairs. i heard one of those lunatics yelling at 2 am last nite. went on for about 15 minutes. he came by my building. i looked down and saw that he was the garbage collector. i guess you either have to be drunk or slighty skewed to haul garbage. i think he was both.
