This past weekend we celebrated our first anniversary! We made it! Here's what went on a year ago from Sunday:

We were asked to carsit for our friends Kari and Paul, who are on their honeymoon in India, can't wait to hear about their trip! Kari and Paul were also kind enough to leave us keys to their upstate farmhouse...

In their backyard I found these TEETH!!! So awesome...have to investigate what animal they came from! We guess, or hope, DEER...

After dropping our things off at the farmhouse, we drove into town, walked by the river, where Jason pulled out his compass that was a gift from me to him for our year of love...make sure he was going in the right direction :)

What a cute pup on Partition St.:

We went to lunch at a nice little place, and across from us was a family with a little girl who had a stuffed animal Penis! I swear, or at least that's what we thought it was...

Then we went back to the farmhouse where we drank a little wine and played rummy and checkers:

Then to dinner at the New World cafe, PURPLE HAZE shrimp and the string beans were delicious, recommended by Lauren :)
The next morning we woke to a beautiful view from the back windows of the farmhouse:

Next we decided to take a drive into woodstock, where we met GREAT Grandpa Woodstock. I asked if I could take a picture of him, and so I did, with my manual camera, and he handed me a little flyer so I could send him a "postcard" of the shot. And on the way out I shot him from behind (with my digital)...

And another cool woodstock bearded dude...

Another recommendation from Lauren and Damian, a hike along a stream:

and yet another cool beareded dude:

And lastly we went to Woodbury Commons, the "Premium Outlets", where we treated ourselves to some new baking pans and some clothes and ICECREAM, not discounted!

A wonderful weekend!
Thanks Kari and Paul :)
